Healing Starts With Real Experience

Richard Mosher founded Richards Wellness and Massage in 2006, to offer JFB Myofascial Release's authentic healing techniques as an alternative to chronic pain and conventional care. Having delt with chronic pain for over 40 years, I can relate to the frustration most of us deal with when we're dealing with our own personal health issues in this healthcare system. Having had over 28 epidurals in my lower back and a 3-level fusion in my cervical and told I will always be in pain and had to deal with it.  Broke my neck in a motorcycle accident at 17, prior to that at 4 year old, I had a NDE after I was run over by a car.

Was in Concrete construction business for 25 years, always dealing with pain on a daily basis. Later I worked as a caretaker after my friend was stricken with diabetes and many other ailments. One of them was dementia. That's when I first really understood the power of touch and how healing just putting your hand on someone can be.  After getting certified in Craniosacral Therapy it helped relieve the symptoms of the dementia and improved his cognitive function. This is where I first read about John F Barnes PT.  It inspired me to learn and understand the fascial body and why such  subtle techniques seemed to work miracles. After graduating from Massage School I started taken Johns classes all over the country and have over 200 hours of hands on training

It wasn't until I discovered John work, that I could actually take a breath and realize that I could live a healthy pain free life without medication and injections. Today I live pain free, with No limitations.

The practice has grown from that simple goal: give people real, hands-on authentic care and a practical plan they can actually follow.

03 / FOUNDER STORY

Richard Mosher Is the Hands Behind the Care

Richard Mosher brings years of hands-on experience to Richard's Wellness and Massage. Richard chose to concentrate on myofascial release (John Barnes method) and chronic pain work after seeing how many clients needed more than a general relaxation session. He built his approach around listening closely to each client's pain history and adjusting his hands-on technique based on what actually helps. Clients can learn more about his myofascial release services in Westbrook, CT.

"I start every session by asking about a person's pain history. I adjust my hands-on work based on what clients tell me during and after treatment. That feedback is what shapes the plan we build together."
